The Ignite Africa Book Review Competition is a program designed for Secondary School students to explore their world through analytical reading and critical writing. Here, portraits of intelligence and creativity are enacted through reading and creative writing.
This captures our unique ability to bridge theory and creativity. Each of the reviews, not only shapes thinking, but also redefines interactive reading.
We work with various schools, fully involving the school authorities. Students are given a free copy of a book each to read and review based on content, style, theme and merit, to enter for an opportunity to win prizes.
At the 2014 Ignite Annual Book Review Competition for Secondary schools, there were 25 Schools in participation, and more than N2,000,000 in cash, Computers and consolation prizes were awarded by Ignite Africa Leadership Foundation to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners of the competition.
